Location is off
Why: your location is only used to look up the weather near you, so the home screen background can match the sky outside. Without it, the background follows the time of day only.
Where it goes: your device rounds your position to about 11 km and sends only that position to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a free weather service, to get the current weather. Open-Meteo also sees your IP address, as any website does. It is never sent to wecreatethis.com and is not tied to your name or any account.
Kept on this device: the rounded position and the latest weather result are saved in this browser only. Turn the switch off and both are deleted. It is off until you turn it on.
